Situated in a tranquil bay between Villaricos and San Juan de los Terreros lies the small village of El Calon, located right beside the sea, being the perfect place for a ‘get away from it all’ holiday. This 2 bedroom apartment is extremely well situated, being only a minutes walk from the beach and shares a communal pool with just a few other apartments. El Calon is a small, quiet community set on the waters edge with its own beach, many rock pools and stunning views. The village has a friendly beach bar that serves a Sunday lunch and a small hotel with a bar and restaurant (seasonal opening) and childrens playing facilities. The road that follows the Mediterranean coastline has many little tracks which allow you to access remote coves by car and by foot.  

El Calon is only 6 km from the holiday resort of San Juan which has beautiful sandy beaches and many bars & restaurants. The village of Villericos is 10 km drive and is a typical Spanish fishing village with a small harbour & marina. The village has many bars and restaurants and a busy Sunday market.  Close by is the only European desert golf course – Desert Springs with a further 4 golf courses within 40 minutes drive. The beach resorts of Mojacar Playa and Garrucha are only 20 minutes drive and there are many activities to pursue, including the VeraAquaPark (within 15 minutes drive), scuba diving at Villaricos, Garrucha Go-Karting (within 20 minutes), film sets/theme parks at Tabernas (approximately 1 hour drive). The ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada and the historical city of Granada with the AlhambraPalace is approximately 2 ½ hours drive. Almeria airport and city is just 1 hour drive away boasting many excellent shops and a castle (free entry with a European passport). Murcia airport is approximately 1 ½ hours drive and Alicante is about 2 hours.
