Welcome to Restaurant El Mar La Mar

Located o­n the coastal road from Palomares to Villaricos, the restaurant is o­n the corner opposite the right turn into the traditional fishing village of Villaricos. With fantastic sea views, a variety of alfresco and indoor dining areas, including our glazed gallery and covered terraces, El Mar La Mar offers a variety of settings to suit every mood.

Also available is our private dining room, the salon Alberti comfortably accommodating up to twenty guests. The salon is named after the famous Spanish poet whose poem El Mar La Mar was the inspiration for the restaurants name. El Mar La Mar is fully air conditioned with ample parking providing both smoking and non smoking dining areas with easy access for people with disabilities including separate disabled toilets.

El Mar La Mar is ideal to suit all tastes, from Tapas or Raciones at our relaxing bar, our four course menu del dia offered every weekday lunchtime, our a la carte menu offering the finest Spanish and Mediterranean dishes or our grill menu, Menu La Mar all complemented with a selection of daily specials and star dishes.

House signature dishes include Arroz con Bogavante, Paletilla de Cordero and our aged prime filet steak topped with home made cognac pate and a sauce of Pedro Ximenez or simply grilled.

Sunday Lunch is always a special day offering traditional Spanish and not so Spanish roasts such as suckling pig or roast sirloin of beef to complement our a la carte menu.

We pride ourselves o­n providing not o­nly good food and service but also to be able to meet our customer’s personal requirements as such we are always happy to personally tailor make menus for special celebrations and private parties.
