Fernan Perez is o­ne of the few municipalities of the interior of the Natural Park of Cabo de Gata.  You drive out of Campohermoso, a sprawling agricultural town surrounded by plastic greenhouses and in a few short kilometres the landscape changes and Fernan Perez is very different.  A tiny village, and very rural, with a white church and small school, set o­n a rolling plain dotted with prickly pear cacti.

Although not recognized as a tourist location, Fernan Perez imparts a feeling of timelessness and tranquility and marks the entrance to the wonderful Cabo de Gata area.
