Independent Theatre - Albox/Cantoria

One of the premier amateur dramatic groups in the Almanzora Valley, with use of a real theatre, TEATRO SAAVEDRA, meets o­n Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.00 p.m., either at the theatre or our rehearsal rooms, during productions and o­n the 3rd Wednesday of each month for a social get together, when we are not rehearsing. We also have and continue to perform at the Martin Garcia Ramos school in Albox, when suitable.

We have just completed our Spring Productions, two o­ne act plays which were "After Magritte" and "Meat and 2 Veg", both were comedies and were received very well.

Our Summer production was to have been "Habeus Corpus" a vulgar farce by Alan Bennett but this has had to be postponed until Spring next year due to cirumstances beyond our control

Our Autumn Production will be "OUT OF ORDER" an extreme comedy by Ray Cooney and will be auditioned o­n WEDNESDAY 27 AUGUST, AT THE TEATRO SAAVEDRA IN CANTORIA.  It will be directed by Ian Jones, who directed our last Ray Cooney Comedy " Run for your Wife". Our previous productions include: "Run for your Wife" by Ray Cooney, "TenTimesTable" by Alan Ayckbourne and "Murder In Company" by Philip King and John Boland and now "After Magritte" by Tom Stoppard and "Meat and Two Veg" by Paul Beard.
