In the unspoilt village of Las Salinas, just 100m from the beach, a two bedroom apartment, ready for occupation now. Just two years old and never used, this apartment overlooks the salt marshes, which harbour a wealth of bird life including flamingos. Protected by the Parque Natural, these marshes are safe from development.
Although there is already air-conditioning installed, the aspect of this apartment means that it stays nicely cool during the hot summers.
Entrance Hall shared by 3 other apartments. Half flight of stairs lead to front door which opens into the lounge/dining room, with open kitchen.
The kitchen is fully fitted with wooden units, a built-in oven with ceramic hob, and space for a tall fridge/freezer. The lounge/dining room has plenty of space for a dining table, sofas, chairs etc. A picture window overlooks the salt marshes.
The main bedroom is a large double room, with doors to a dressing room/laundry area, which has plumbing and space for a washing machine and tumble dryer. The second bedroom is a little smaller, but still has plenty of room for a double bed or two twin beds, plus furniture.
The bathroom is beautifully tiled, with shower, wc, washbasic and bidet.
From the entrance hall, stairs lead to a private roof terrace, with a storage area and plumbing for a shower - idea after sandy visits to the beach.
Las Salinas is a small, tranquil village, very popular with the Spanish but almost unknown outside Spain. It has a small supermarket and tobacconist, a hotel and a bar/restaurant. The beach of Cabo de Gata stretches for miles and miles - the beach photo was taken at 5pm on 27 August 2007 with the temperature at 34 degrees celsius. Not very crowded considering it is high season!
