If you don't have Sat Nav and got lost before, have you thought about buying a map? Or using your PC/laptop/tablet to access a route finder and using the filters remove toll roads etc.

Hi Susan,

Just like the previous post we use WiMax (similar to Next), we had it installed a month ago, it costs 30 a month whilst we are there and 5 a month whilst away for 8MB.

So far so good ...

Hi,

I don't think anywhere is excluded on the wifi networks (Wimax or Next), it all depends on whether there is line of sight from your property to their antennas.

Best thing to do is ask some ...

I had WiMAX installed a week ago (8mb vacation package) and I can say although they showed me 7.8mb on their laptop connected to the router via cable I was only getting around 4.5mb via WiFi.

I was also surprised they put up a small'ish dish as opposed to a pole with a small box on top.

People have said Next use boxes while WiMAX use dishes, but I'm not sure how true that is.

Update.....

WiMAX arrived this morning as planned, the two guys were here for about a hour and a half, put up the dish, routed all cables to where I wanted the wifi router and all up and run ...
