Ah, I thought as much.
The real La Cabaņa moved a couple of years ago, same side of the road but nearer Garrucha.
The people who took over the old premises opposite Titos do "the same thing", i.e. steaks Argentina style and the like, and did not change the decor / layout in any way. So loads of people think the old premises is still La Cabaņa when it is really La Hacienda...
The real La Cabaņa seems particularly empty nowadays whereas it was always packed - OK, some of that might be due to the prices and people having less money to spend. But I bet most of it is due to people not knowing they moved(why would they if they only visit now and then and everything looks the same?) Shame, when they did all the hard work to set the business up!

Ah that explains a lot. We have been coming to Mojacar for the past six/seven years. We had heard about the move and took friends to the newly located 'La Cabana' for a meal on the last night of our holiday in December 2009. What a disappointment - especially after we had raved about the restaurant. The place was totally deserted and so had no atmosphere. We all sat in our coats because it was so chilly. What a shame. Still, we will definitely go back this year - hope they have survived the move.
