Nerime Oleander .... Drought resistant therefore a slow grower
Siempre Verde....Not quite so drought resistant but a faster grower.
However both will grow more than 1 meter so will require annual trimming but in doing so you will achieve a good dense hedging.
Both plants will require of water until established so best to buy small and plant about 18 inches apart.

Hi, Is the Nerime Oleander one of the shrubs that can produce an allergic reaction when touched,or is that a different one.I would like to plant an Oleander, but I dont know which ones are "safe".(We have a 2 year old granddaughter". Thanks, Di.
Every part of Nerime Oleanader is extremely toxic . Can cause an allergic reaction if touched, particularly if it touches an open wound, and death can occur if any part is chewed.
NEVER put the cuttings in a shredder as the spores can be inhaled causing mega problems.
Always treat this plant with extreme caution and best avoided where toddlers are.
We did buy some Choisia plants here. Have no idea what the Spanish call them. Plain and variagated leafed however they took a great deal of water, and over a year, to become established. 4 years on they are still less than 1m high whereas in UK they would now be over 3m.
However with a drip system they would probably grow better.
