A note of warning, mainly for long term rentals

Just incase anyone is renting be warned, if your tenant doesn't pay the Endesa bill it seems that they can re-connect the elec with another company.... icon_eek.gif

Beware I would say of any Ecudorians, sorry if that puts peoples noses out of joint but is there anyone who hasn't had a problem with them in general either not paying the rent, electricity, bothering neighbours etc. etc. etc. They are a close-knit community and know all the in's and out's of playing the game to their benefit.

Sorry for the rant but these forums are here to help others not get into problems if we can spread warnings such as these. Be careful and take a decent deposit and be warned, the law in Spain is on the tenants side and you are the baddie in the eyes of the law, especially if the tenants have children, which they use as the excuse that they can't be kicked out.
