We have a metallic (molduras?) front door with a wooden panel front & back. As it faces the hot sun, the exterior panel has dried out and is splitting/coming away.

We found a factory in Murcia (we live near Mojacar) and went up to see them, but want to see if there's a local business that supplies the panels so we can do a comparison (and save us another journey) as they only make to order.

Does anyone know if there is a local supplier of these panels? I googled molduras etc and it identified one in Vera, but when we got there, it is now a school.

Many thanks

Kaz

Hi Kaz,

Might be worth asking the elusive KeyMare where they purchased the doors from.

Perhaps you could try the wood shop which is next to the Electrodomesticos shop on the by-pass which runs alongside the Vera Hotel? They speak some English but are very helpful.

Regards,
Lorraine.

All the information on the materials used, colours & suppliers is in the booklet that was issued on completion.

Thanks both for the suggestions,

We have been quoted around 200 for the panel, so think "we" are going to make a panel up ourselves. As the door faces the sun, it gets extremely hot and would probably need to be replaced every couple of years as its only a thin plywood panel.

We've put some curtain beads on to protect it somewhat as well icon_smile.gif
