It's not yet clear how many parties there will be in the Mojácar elections on May 24th, but at least the incumbant mayor (PP), the PSOE, Gas-station Diego's UM, Diego Marullo's Ciudadanos, Angel Medina's Vox and - I think the best - the coalition of Jessica Simpson's 'SOMOS Mojácar' (We are Mojacar). It is a party that works for integration and equality (a novel idea in Mojacar).

Whichever part/ies win, what they need to realise is that Spain and Mojacar need to attract revenues from Tourism, not add more taxes or rules that discriminate against newcomers bringing wealth to the local economy.
Perhaps paving a Promenade all along the beach front will be the stimulant that is needed, bringing walkers to all the many shoreline restaurants and chiringuitos, right along from Puerto Marina to link to Garrucha.
That would make a lovely walk, with plenty of opportunities to stop for a freshener.
I just hope that it isn't priced as highly as the proposed stretch to the Red Cross roundabout.

I was hoping to cycle along it when we bought our flat in 88, but by the time it is finished I will be in my 90's
