I didn't know this but in summer months you are supposed to put your household rubbish in the road bins after 9pm for health reasons other wise a 60+ euro fine

So why aren't the Spanish made to have a separate bin for food waste like the British local Governments force us to do which is collected once a week.????

Our's do, but not Sunday, you can tell by the amount in the bin Sunday evening, so I tend to not put rubbish out on a sunday in my tesco size bag

The system here is great.

You can put your rubbish in any bin anywhere, none of that UK nonsense where you are fined for putting stuff in other than your own bin.

Of course without the BIn Police, no one seems fussed about recycling, so the normal bins do have large amounts of plasctic, paper and other recyclable stuff, but nobody seems to care.

THE UK system is very costly, all tghoise individual bins, and house collections, large bins like in Spian would reduce the Rates and make peoples
life easier.
I have overflowing bins with neighbours half empty, but cannot use the spare space, stupid!

Jimbob, in my area there is no separate bin for food, no onus to recycle, and a once a week collection so I doubt the EU have anything to do with it, more likely it's your greedy local council.

I live in Essex but my point is we are not forced to recycle anything as Jimbob is alluding to in his area. We recycle but for those who don't there are no fines so exiting the EU will not make any difference in this respect, the fines are obviously down to his local council which is the point I am struggling to get across here!
