It is getting to that time to paint the outside of the house again.

Often on the paint container it says use a 50/50 mix with water for bare brick, but when covering existing walls do a 90/10 mix.

Does everyone stick to the latter or do they roll it straight on ??

Also which white paint do folk find lasts the longest and where are they obtaining this ??

Many thanks

We've never watered the plastico paint down, just roll it on, and we find that if you choose the more expensive paint it is better - you get what you pay for and the cheaper paint doesn't cover so well or last so long (in our opinion anyway). We buy our paint from the Pintura shop on Mojacar Playa.

Good luck

Anita

If you buy the "revestimento para los paredes " you will find you don't need to paint yearly, it can be hosed down and doesn't wash off when it rains, it cost more, but in my opinion , well worth the extra !

icon_smile.gif Try Valentine , you pay for it , but you stay professional with it,,, all I use for my paint jobs,, covers anything with one coat . You can buy cheap paint , eg. 16-20 euros for 25 L, but it's like water, and requiers at least two coats.
