PostPosted: Tue Mar 31, 2009 10:38 am    Post subject: FARMERS MARKET AT BAR LA MONTANA 5TH APRIL Reply with quote

We have another Farmers Market Arts and Crafts this coming Sunday the 5th of April. We have people that have made their own chutneys, pickles, jams, cakes, biscuits, pies, etc and our Spanish neighbours have got Goats cheese from their own Goats Milk, Emu and Hens eggs, Olive Oil from their own Olives, Olives, potatoes, tomatoes, cakes, Bread straight from the Bread Oven in the Village. We also have people selling hand made jewellery and handbags, hand knitted clothing, candles, door stops, hand carved furniture and loads more. We will be selling our chutneys and pickles and our ever popular Steak in Guinness Pies. We have a BBQ from around 12.30 and have Live Music at 1.30ish. It's a Jam Session (as in Musician not in a jar), that will kick off at around 1.30pm. Last time we had about 20 different Musicians playing for us and it was a fantastic day. We are still looking for more stall holders to sell either home grown produce, something they have grown themselves, or things they have made themselves. We are off to Lubrin market tomorrow to try to recruit a few more Farmers but can you please spread the word. There is a mini bus available from Mojacar if anyone would like to go up. Also there is a bus from Los Gallardos Camp Site as well. Please either email me on or or give me a buzz on 617 577 615 or at the bar on 950 469 403 to book your space. It's just 5 which goes to the Local Community towards their Fiesta in August. There will be 2 or 3 raffles as well, which will be meat, cheese, booze, cakes and pies etc. All in all, its going to be a good day. A day when you can get together with others that have spent time making things for this Market, and to get to see a real Spanish Working Village.
