I have a small house in Enix near Roquetas De Mar which was vacant over the Winter of 2008/09. When I visited a few weeks ago the rear of the house was badly damaged by damp - the neighbours said this was due to the rainfall of last Winter - which was the worst they had seen in years. I checked with my Spanish insurance company if I could claim for the damp. They said maybe - if I could provide a rough idea of when the worst rain fell and provided more than 40 litres fell in an hour, (which they would check with a national institute), then I might have a valid claim. The neighbours are a bit vague, but from what I could find out, some of the worst rain fell on and around Enix/Roquetas in the first two weeks of November 2008 and throughout January 2009 and early February 2009.

Anybody got a better memory than my neighbours?

Gracias

Sorry to hear about your problem.
Almeria Free Ads Forum has a weather section which started in October 2008 and may assist. There are however, 207 pages !.
