We have 10 trees of very good almonds - anyone know of a place or person who would buy these...

There will be a place / places in Tabernas where the Almonds are collected, I do not know Tabernas so can be of no help - as you drive around look for

1. Lorries with lots of bagged Almonds in the back { White Bags } and follow one.

2. Look for a Factory and it will be quite big - with piles of Almond shells in the yard.

Points to note if you don't already know.

You will have to take the Green husks off so you have a Hard Brown Shell.

Throw out any Black Shells - these indicate last years nuts - they will check each bag before emptying brought in by new people and if there are any black shells visible the whole bag will be rejected.

The Bags you can buy from any Ferrateria - 50 cents each and you will get them back to use again.

Get some hand cream in for the cuts and scrapes you will get by removing the husks -

I usually leave ours on the trees until October - the husks have usually cracked open by then and are easier to remove - this though depends on the situation of your property and yours may crack open a bit earlier than this.
