Just because you Voted and were on the Electoral Register for the last election - do not think you will be automatically allowed to vote in the next one May 2011
The Censo Office - the Office that organises the Elections - announced last week -
That for the first time they WILL NOT be sending out papers to people who were on the register before the last election 2007 - for them to sign and return, indicating whether they wish to vote in the next election May 2011.
This means - No Papers sent to you - No Vote - unless you re-register.
You will, if you want to vote and make your voice heard, have to obtain the registration documents yourself - they are available from many places - complete them and take them into your Ayuntamiento soon - preferably asap.
