This tax has just been debitted to my bank -- I seem to remember that in previous years it was an end October /early November debit......I am unable to check my previous payment dates at the moment.
Have the dates changed this year?
Thanks!

Is this the norm ?.

We have never received an IBI Bill from Mojacar Town Hall having owned a property for 4 years.
We received a recorded delivery letter last November which was retained at the Post Office for 10 days and then was "Returned to Sender". As we are not resident the letter had been returned a month before we saw the card !!.
Our Property Services company have been to the Town Hall 3 times, explained the situation but still no bill !.
Tried the office by the Hotels last time we were out but it was closed.
All other services have been paid since 2007.
Happy to pay and obviously we will be charged interest !!.
No wonder Spain is in trouble if this is the norm !.

You can go up to the Town Hall yourself or get someone to go for you with your written authorisation and ask for your IBI bill plus a payment slip. You, or your representative can then make payment at the bank. Once it is paid and up to date you can set up a domiciliacion (DD) in your bank account for it to be taken out automatically.

That was done by my Representative, who speaks excellent Spanish but the Town Hall employee said they would look into it and phone her when the paperwork was ready !. Nothing, even after further visits / chase ups !.

Pottsy - I was sure we have paid in October (end of) previously--but perhaps the sun over the last few days here has got to me!!

DaveXC -- I have recently changed banks and was keeping an eye out for this Direct Debit as the Council cocked up last time and claimed for Basura payment on my old bank.................whenI spoke to the Town Hall a couple of months ago, I had the old story about paperwork etc to change my DD, but thankfully my new bank has sorted it (or appears to have).
I have an EMail contact at the Twon Hall for this sort of thing but it's on my PC in the UK -- I will try to remember to PM it to you when I am back in UK.

Thanks Oakesani for the details.
We are over at the end of November and will give it a try.
I will take all the paperwork just in case I have to go to the Town Hall.

Went down to the Council Offices by the Hotels Tuesday and they are closed. All services transferred to the Town Hall. Bit of a pain but got to use the new lift !.
