Just had our water bill and there is a charge of 11.50 euros for "DEPURACION" translated as purification treatment. Has everybody been charged this. If so does anyone know what purification treatment. We were out last month and the water was still sludge brown and calcium even worse?
We should be getting a rebate not charged more.

I understand that Turre Council are planning to filter the water supply, to help eradicate the problems of the mud and calcium.

Not sure when it is due to start, but it sounds like the charge mentioned could be related to that.

Whatever the charges the cost of the current water, when viewed as a total package is hugely expensive, when you factor in the following:-

New taps, water Heaters, kettles, coffee machines, washing machines and so on.

On the Town Hall reception Desk there is a section of plastic pipe cut from the Turre water supply system. A diameter of about 15/20 cms, is virtually full of Calcium, leaving a tiny space for the water flow of about 2 cms.

All this blocked pipework has to be replaced at some considerable cost. So water bills will rise inevitably to fund this work.

Not good news.
