Visited yesterday and bought some bits including an armchair which came in a flat pack...couldn´t believe it could, but any way the bits we bought all went together easily 8although the drawings indicating which way the bolts went in could be bettter) ... well done IKEA
Warehouse area. I had some queries regarding items boxes, chap there was happy to sort things out and wandered up and down the aisles when the computer info did not match that on the racking...well done
At first we didn´t think we´d be able to get the stuff in our car, and the staff member we approached about delivery etc was very helpful, he didn´t have leaflets available at his station but went off and found some , then found us again. The sales chap was happy to speak English, although we were happy to speak Spanish...Well done.
Costs for hiring a van via Hertz ar 19€an hour (14 with Ikea Family card) 6okm free, then 35c p km, so for us in Almeria, that was expensive, cost of deliver is also high.....not so good IKEA.
We have a IKEA family card, which entitles only the card holder to free coffee all day, but did give us a little discount on some of our purchases
Restaurant...Not good, food was barely warm, shelves and found counters did not have much on display. Coffee and milk dispensers were grubby ... not upto standard we expect
We haven´t been to Ikea for quite a while and the shop seems to have changed a bit in the way it is laid out, making us walk through almost everything in the ¨basement¨ area, very little in the way of plants etc All check outs had about 6 people waiting to be served, there was also a queue for the self check out
We were there from about 12noon to 3.30pm on a Monday

There used to be a guy called Andre who ran a business called 'ask Andre' who would collect furniture from IKEA take it to your property and put it all together. I heard excellent reports. Just wondering if anyone knows if he is still around and offering this service
Ah, just thought maybe I should have put this on the Ikea delivery post
