The neighbours went out and painted a new message on top of the Greenpeace one.

Of course it should go, but I'll lay a pound to a penny it won't.

I can see both sides, but it is ugly and inappropriate. The locals might think it will bring business and jobs but it is out of town and even Mojacar hotels are struggling.

It should stay , it must help the local town in the long run and create employment locally , but then again this is Spain and they always shoot themselves in the foot , just look at Covera airport's situation

As always there appears to be very little market research before they commission a project.

There is no shortage of hotels in the area, what is missing are the customers/punters. There is that hotel down the far end of Mojacar, brand new, never been opened sitting there rotting away.

Existing hotels struggle to get occupancy up, they did not all open at easter this year and no business model can survive on just July & August customers..

Problem now is that the blight will always be there, even if demolished it can never be put back as it was. Package holidays are no longer the product consumers want. So who would want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere, with no shops, bars etc nearby. It is and even if finished
will always be a white elephant.

It may be a national park, but in a, not at all attractive apart from the unspoilt beaches, honesty the area looks like a part of the moon.
