Yet another unwatchable evening tv courtesy of Next. I have only been with them for about six weeks and have yet to have an evening trouble free viewing! I tried Wimax before them with a similar problem, I paid for 16Mb and was getting at times .2Mb rarely more that 10! So its back to Telitek, they are dearer but at least the service was brilliant

Hi
I had WiMAX installed a week ago (8mb vacation package) and I can say although they showed me 7.8mb on their laptop connected to the router via cable I was only getting around 4.5mb via WiFi.
Anyhow, I experienced very few buffering sessions so I was pleased. I'm not sure what it'll be like later in the year when more people are around.
One thing I did notice though, and I metioned it elsewhere, is that they installed a small dish whereas other properties have little grey boxes on top of masts/poles.
Needless to say, back in the UK now and ran a test and getting 65mb+ on WiFi.
If I was full time Spanish resident I wouldn't bother with WiMAX, Next etc.
