Having got out of my jaccuzzi and gone base over apex where I have slipped on alledgedly non slip tiles, I have been looking for a product that would ensure I don't do this again - and EUREEKA I have found it! It is now fitted to the area around my pool and jaccuzzi - I am very pleased with the results. Around an 8x4 pool it costs about 450 euros fitted. Your views please, do you feel that this has commercial possibilities? Would you have it fitted

Hi Steve-e14

What actually is it that you have got? icon_confused.gif

We can't actually comment until we know what the product is!

Is it a paint, a cover, a mat?

Steve-e14, your request for opinions as to it's commercial viability suggest that you intend on marketing this revolutionary product, this being the case, please shed some light as to it's form, I'm certainly interested to learn more.

Steve-14, as is being suggested it would appear you are doing a bit of market research, well, there's nowt wrong in that but, from you "description" how would I know if it was what I wanted in terms of asthetics and VFM etc? I would need to know a bit more about the product.

Maybe, understandably, you are reluctant to reveal to much at this stage for fear I/we may "run off" and do it ourselves etc.?

I do believe it is something that would interest a lot of people, particularly those that are in the process of landscaping around their pool area, as I am.

If you put down basic porous tiles instead of flashy ones they are non slip, but good luck to you.

Apologies for not responding sooner, been away for the weekend - The product! Think of a roll of sellotape 100mm wide but much thicker and with a mottled but not rough surface and transparent - effectively you feel the surface rather than see it. The manufacturers have recommended it be used for about a metre around a pool in strips of 100mm ie strip of 100mm gap of 50mm strip of 100mm gap of 50 mm etc etc - the cost is 40 for a roll 0f 18 metres - Not cheap i thought but certainly not expensive when you consider the job it does. I am bringing some over in February for my own pool and jaccuzzi areas - if anybody would like to view it in situ so to speak they would be more than welcome.

Frankly I don't know Carmargue - This is why I intend to try it at my own property first before offering it. However the manufacturers assure me that if applied to a clean dry surface it will be fine, ideally it would be applied late afternoon and not when the sun is strongest - I will try it and report!

Steve-e14, thanks for the info. got an idea of what it would be like now. I assume you can apply it to any "smooth" tiled surface? Guess the acid test now is durability particularly due to wear and tear and heat from the midday sun. Would be interested to know how you go on with it.
