Whilst out this last week, we called in to see Alan from Mariela's on the Playa and found the place has changed hands.

Anyone know when he left and if he is still around, previously he had the restaurante in the Pueblo and wondered if he had re opened somewhere locally.

How many times must I have heard that?

It's about time the property owners in this area realised they have killed the goose.

They had help - the best I've seen in terms of a summary is this one

Particularly the closing phrase

I think most people on the playa were happy to see tea leaf Alan go and less so to see sticky Paul take over. He made a bigger pigs ear of it than Alan and wouldnt have lasted much longer had his landlord not slung him out. Apparently the roaches moved his stuff out for him.
Its Italians going in now and so I hear taking over the hotel too, cant see it working as theres enough dago restaurants in the town not doing any business, Pat

I think its the owner of Masko and Koi that is taking it over - he's already well established in the area and does well - so I'm sure he'll do well icon_smile.gif
Will be good to see the bar open again and run properly - it could be a little goldmine if looked after properly.

Oakisani, I think it would have done well if it had been run by Spaniards but the Spanish are the biggest racists I know so doubt it will but we will see and for certain its better open with someone decent running it than shut, Pat.

Outer Mongolia is less third world than Spain because of the peasants that run the latter country, Pat.
