On the East Coast of Almería, there is a place of unspoiled natural beauty where you will enjoy wonderful weather by the sea. Puerto Rey.  Its large beach (Vera Playa) with fine sand has been awarded the Blue European Community Flag.

The beach is approximately 2.3km long by 50m wide, with fine golden sand

the beach.  It is usually a windy beach to sit o­n but of the highest calibre in the area.  There are life guards posted all along.

This is the perfect place for those who look for peace and tranquillity along with healthy activities.  There are interesting ecological places to visit in the area as well as the neighbouring towns of Vera, Garrucha (with a sporting harbour) and Mojacar.  These towns are full of shops, bars, restaurants, typical weekly markets, an animated nightlife and many festivities during the year.

With great beach access, a good selection of shops (including the recently built Puerto Rey shopping centre“La Esquina de Puerto Rey” and sports facilties, this is a popular location for new holiday home developments and hotels.
