This apartment is situated in Puerto Rey on the coast of the Spanish province of Almeria, which is said to have the warmest and best climate in southern Spain.
This is truely an area with something for everyone - superb golfing facilities for serious golfers and wonderful beaches for those looking for a family holiday.
Situated on a new complex, within a ten minute walk of the nearest sandy beach and easy walking distance to the Aqua Park (not to be missed) This apartment has a patio leading to a samll garden area. The complex has two swimming pools and is set in lovely landscaped surroundings. There are no nightclubs in the vicinity making it an ideal destination for families and couples.
Inland the scenery is absolutely spectacular, with mountains and desert terrain to explore.
If you would like to see the real Spain, a visit to the nearby towns and villages should be all you need. The Moorish style old town of Mojacar, with its narrow streets and courtyards, is perched high on a hill where you can relax in a multitude of cafes and restaurants. Alternatively there are the charming ports of Garrucha and Villaricos nearby.
There are three superb, challenging golf courses within 10 km of the apartment, two of which are just 3 km away. These include the first desert course in Europe, Desert Springs, built to rival the now famous desert courses in Arizona and California.
For the less energetic there are miles of beautiful sandy beaches the nearest within a five minute walk from our apartment.
Charming towns and villages in the vicinity, including the Moorish old town of Mojacar, the ports of Garrucha and Villaricos, or Sorbas, a stunning inland village of Moorish appearance, which is an important centre for traditional pottery. The nearby caves are still in their natural state, with no man-made corridors. Well worth a visit for the adventurous.
Situated in the Tabernas desert, Europe's only desert, the "mini-Hollywood" town is a replica of a wild-west town. At one time, it was actually used to shoot movies, notably Sergio Leone's "Dollars" trilogy. Now a dedicated theme-park, its great for the children ......and some adults!
And for those of you who love to play in water, the Aqua Park is Vera is not to be missed.
