We attended the Albatross on more than several occasions during the summers of 2003-2005. Whilst the views from the terrace are breathtaking, and, unchanging, the standard of food was unwavering, although, slightly, erratic!
We found the ambience exceedingly welcoming on our first season, but slightly "lacking" on our subsequent seasons.
We did try to allow for the apparent "change of management" criteria, on our final visits, but, sadly, food standards apart, the waiters/waitresses were found to be uncaring as regards to our needs. We know that we do not speak fluent Spanish. but at least we endeavoured to attempt, (with the help of a exceedingly good spanish phrase book) to communicate our needs and wants to the best of our abilities.
Whilst some would find our attempts to be tedious, at least we smiled, and tried to remain affable throughout, as we understand how frustrating British tourists can sometimes be!
We love this place, and we know they can get it right, teething troubles are an absolute agony, but we have faith and will be back in the 2006 season.
So, stand by your Sangria Jugs and Paella Dishes, we look forward to seeing you soon!!
P.S Your Paella is the BEST we have tasted........and we have sampled it on every one of the "COSTAS!"
