Its also cooler because of its altitude... Some way from the beaches but very authentic - a kind of smaller more genuine Mojacar Pueblo if that''s possible. Check out the cemetery at the top of the hill for a real insight into Bedar life - and death

Bedar is a small village set in the mountains with spectacullar views towards the mediteranean. It is an ideal place to holiday with a few small bars and restaurants serving excellent local cuscine. The local people are friendly and very welcoming. Bird watchers will be in paradise watching Bee Eaters and Wheateaters. Walkers and mountain bikers will have many crags to get over before resting for the day. Bedar is like the jewel in the crown amongst Andalucian villages, its charm and robust countryside making it the place to be for those who wish to holiday away from the coastal resorts which are close by. Pay the place a visit, you''ll enjoy every minute of it. There are excellent apartments to rent in the village or on the road to Lubrin, 2k from the village centre.
