This is a family run hostel that offers a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms are all very clean and comfortable - in our opinion the equivalent of a 3* B&B back home in England. There is air con and also secure shutters for the door / window. Plenty of hot water and extra bedding etc. (though if you needed it, they are happy to provide more). Room is cleaned each day, fresh towels etc. No tea and coffee making, but as the restaurant downstairs is open pretty much all day, there is no problem with this.
The only drawback is that Jose and Maria who own and run the place do not speak English, though their understanding of it is getting better. This is not a showstopper as two doors away are an English speaking estate agents, and often you will find patrons of the restaurant speak good English too. If you are happy to use a rather Spanglese version of charades you will find the warmest of welcomes and food which is of an uncompromisingly high standard.... personal recommendations are the steak, and the omelette in a baguette (which sounds weird but is wonderful), but they cannot compare with Maria''s homemade Creme Caramel - ask for a Creme Flan !
