Palomares is a really nice relaxing spanish village. It is friendly from both the natives and other people living there. It is easy to get to the beach, though i do think they could do a bit more with the beach and surrounding area, like pretty it up a bit. I love it and whenever I go there I always feel so relaxed. There is everything in the village that one would need for day to day living. I would definately recommend it for a really nice quite holiday and if one feels like a good night out the wilder spots are not far away at all. A bus leaves the village each working morning so it is quite easy to get to the market or somewhere different every day and come back again on the bus. More regular public transport throughout the day would be welcome. Also, a few more pretty flowers and trees on the road where the apartments have been built would pretty the place up and make a huge difference and certainly give a great first impression to the village. I would definately recommend it for a holiday and as a family it costs very little as the only place parents would have to spend money would be to take the children to the waterpark. Other than that the children are all quite happy on the beach or in the swimming pool. Overall its a really great place for parents and children to chill out. Theres a nice square there where one can have tapas along with a few other restaurants and bars with nice food. I have heard some people say that a car would be necessary. Thats not my experience though. We can manage very well there without a car. We go to lots of places, usually walking, but if its just that bit far there are taxies which are quite reasonable. Sure, why not give it a try. Its certainly very different.
