It was our first visit to Estairante Azul and we were taken there by a new friend. The service, food and surroundings were excellent! Mario and Sean made us feel very welcome and the food was very well presented and delicious. Prices are very reasonable for three courses and we will be back at least once on each visit to Garrucha.

This is a lovely restaurant, with very good food and a fixed menu costing 25 euro approx. incl. tax. The staff were very pleasant and we had a most enjoyable evening.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

We went during July 2007 and found the restuarant to be a very relaxed & peaceful place. The live guitar music was great.
The food from the main menu was above average but not as good as I thought it might have been. I had to send my steak back!
The childrens menu consisted of frozen items (chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc) with only one fresh item.

I feel it is still worth recommending to others.

I appreciate you giving us an above average rating, thank you. Perhaps we were “not as good as thought” because you selected the steak instead of something with more elaboration. Many people come more for our signature dishes with homemade sauces and creative mixtures as opposed to a grilled steak. Perhaps next time you could try our chicken breast with a creamy vermouth-orange sauce or the Sauteed hake with grapes and toasted almonds.


A slight correction with our children’s menu, perhaps you have confused us with another restaurant. The only frozen item we offer is the fish fingers, we do not have chicken nuggets (however we do have fresh grilled chicken). I believe your children had the cheese omelette and pasta in tomato sauce neither of which are frozen and both were made to order.
