I live in this peacefull littel town, it is quite a big driffrance from where i was born in San Louis- Minorca, a sleeply market town were every thing shut in winter, Tabernas is the ideal town if you extend your search to about 15mins of the town there are hosues down ramblers and on the side of clifts with orchards and padocks. If your moving over from the UK (as i lived tehre for 2 years) the frist thing you will notice is the lack of rain! and in the summer the heat can be unbearable if you have a well you should be ok but if you have a water tank like most homes you will have to fill it up alot, Jose is the local man who turns the taps on 10€ can fill the tank which on avderage last for 1 - 2 weeks - it is a lively speeply town if your use to the cold i would advise in the summer it gets VERY HOT and to install AC and in the winter it can be cold and damp so a central heating or AC with hot setting for most rooms would be recomened - electryciy can be expenice - Tabernas has little shop wich are good for supplys but it would be adviseable to make sure you have a car which can take the 1.30h jurney to the city Almeria were there are lost of big and good shops to to Mojacar where you can buy English fresh milk from there shops.
