The origin of Rodalquilar is bound to the operation of the gold mines in the last century, fact that it then attracted numerous workers taken by the “fever of gold”. Nevertheless the high cost of the treatment made the profitable advantage nonviable of gold.  In 1990 the last extraction took place.
