THE LOCATION

The “YouInSpain Academy" is situated in the small village of Aljáriz in the province of Almeria. The coastal resort of Mojacar is twenty minutes drive and the towns of Antas and Vera are within easy reach. Aljáriz has a church, medical center, ladies and gentlemen’s hairdressers, two village shops and a bar. The school is annexed to the residences of the owners and principals home and residential accomodation comprising two fully restored  Andalucian “cortijos” in which bed and breakfast accommodation or rental accommodation can be provided.

ENJOYING YOUR STAY

For holiday study courses we can help to arrange a round of golf, horse riding, tennis, sailing or flights even lessons in a light aircraft. Local leisure centres provide swimming, squash, badminton, tennis, athletics, aerobics and weight training. We can also provide a list of properties available in the local area and assistance with negotiating your property purchase.

We have local knowledge of minibus services, which will take private groups o­n outings to places of their choice. We are always happy to advise about local attractions and to help you choose your itinerary so that you can fully enjoy your stay.We can also arrange cheap flights, car hire or airport collection and delivery. 

BUSINESS ENGLISH/SPANISH COURSES

At the “YouInSpain Academy", we specialise in Business English/Spanish Courses. You can come to us o­n your own or as part of a group. You should have at least an intermediate level of English/Spanish. The tuition is for 15 or 22½ hours per week and will be tailored to the specific needs of the group. A typical course might cover the following skill areas:
·     Telephone techniques
·     Business Correspondence- letters, faxes, memos
·     Giving Presentations
·     Social English/Spanish - formal and informal
·     Exchanging information - asking/answering questions, agreeing/disagreeing, checking details, obtaining clarification
·     Describing products/services
·     Describing graphs, diagrams, figures

CONVERSATIONAL COURSES in English/Spanish are delivered at basic, intermediate and advanced levels.

ENGLISH/SPANISH LANGUAGE HOLIDAY COURSES

These vocational courses offer the opportunity to combine improving your English or Spanish whilst taking a holiday in a beautiful part of Almeria. At the “YouInSpain Academy", we specialise in English/Spanish Language Holiday courses for individuals or groups of family or friends who wish to study together. The rest of your time is free to explore the delights of Aljáriz and the many places of natural beauty or historical and cultural interest, which are within easy reach of this charming village.

The number of hour’s tuition per week will be arranged to suit your group. Usually, students study for 15 hours per week. Most students choose to study from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm, Monday to Friday (this includes a half hour coffee break) or from 9.15 am to 1.30 pm, Monday to Thursday (including a half hour coffee break).

The lessons are tailored to the needs of the group. The aim is to improve your English/Spanish in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. 

ENGLISH CLASSES FOR ENGLISH CHILDREN LIVING IN SPAIN

English children have a wonderful opportunity in Spain to live and learn the culture and language of a beautiful people. You may like, however, that your child may also benefit from a continued education in English. The language, literature, history and geography of the English can o­nly benefit them as they get older, particularly as some may return to the UK to live and seek work.

We offer small specialised classes in the subjects below to ensure that your children are truly bi-lingual and of dual nationality academically.

Language - History - Geography - Mathematics

Ages 6 - 8 Years - reading, writing, comprehension and simple mathematics

Ages 8 - 10 Years - reading, writing, grammar, mathematics, basic history and geography.

Ages 10 - 13 Years - reading, story writing advanced grammar and comprehension, mathematics, English history and geography.

We have both male and female teachers who are University graduates to aid the success of these classes. It is hoped, eventually and depending o­n the requirement, that we will be able to educate your children to GCSE level when they will be able to take the appropriate examinations from a student centre in the UK.

Our classroom provides a secure and comfortable environment with a flexible timetable to accommodate your child during Spanish term time, outside of Spanish term terms or at weekends or evenings. Courses are charged at term rate payable in advance.

SPANISH CONVERSATIONAL COURSES FOR EXPATS

Using specially selected course material, available locally, based o­n the "Español 2000" series the "YouInSpain Academy" will guide you through your Spanish studies.

Classes are offered at Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced level. Additional audio and visual course material will be used to enhance your skills and regular tests will encourage your development in a competative environment..

INFORMATICA FOR CONSULTANTS

At the "YouInSpain Academy" we are launching a program of self study for IT suitable individuals with a desire to secure positions as "Informatica Consultants".

The training will be at a rate of €10.00 per hour and will provide a facility for individuals to gain knowledge and experience of "Informatica PowerCenter and Power Analyzer" software and final certification.

The "YouInSpain Academy" has a library of resource material available to assist self study.

At the end of the course of study and with certifiied Informatica Consultant status the delegates will be assisted in securing roles as contractors within the European sector of Data Warehousing.

Hours of training will be flexible and a qualified instructor will be o­n hand to provide assitance where required. Self study is encouraged.

TUITION FEES

·     15 hours - €250.00 (EUR) per week, per student
·     22½hours - €275.00 (EUR) per week, per student
·     Extra Private Lessons (one to o­ne) - €10.00 (EUR) per hour, per student
·     Extra lessons for the whole group - €5.00 (EUR) per hour, per student

There is a 10% discount on tuition fees for groups of 2 or more students to a maximum of 5. all course material consisting of books and CDs or audiocassettes.

Individual (non-residential) Business courses from €10.00 per hour.
Individual (non-residential) English childrens courses at €160 per six week term.

Based o­n 5 hours study sessions per week. Each study period to be of 2½ duration.

Informatica (non-residential) Courses - €10.00 per hour

GENERAL INFORMATION

On booking a Spanish Language course you will be sent a link to www.studyspanish.com  where a "YouInSpain" registered teacher can set up an evaluation test for you and us to assess your level of proficiency. These should be completed and returned as soon as possible. This will enable us to prepare a course to suit your needs and areas of interest, in order to help you benefit fully from your course.

Cancellation:

All costs are payable in advance o­n the day or arrival with a €100.00 breakage and damage deposit o­n accomodation rental. This is refundable o­n the day of departure.

There is a non-refundable Registration Fee, for residential courses of €25.00 (EUR) per person. If a student fails to attend the course, the fee cannot be refunded. We strongly advise you to arrange personal insurance against cancellation, illness, theft or loss of personal belongings. Medical treatment for European Union nationals is free under the National Health Service but dental care is not included. When we receive your completed application form and deposit, we will send you a receipt, confirmation of booking and details of your accommodation.
